Electronics is such an amazing and wonderful thing, I am blown away by how much I have learned about this stuff since the beginning of the summer. Here is a shot of some of the electronics I have been experimenting with for giving my K.I.T.T. actual functions on all of those cool lighted buttons and switches. Here you can see an assortment of Relays and other electronics switching components. Step Relays which enable momentary buttons or switches to perform like latching switches, SPDT Relays which can have a current flowing through them turning on a device until tripped allowing the current to be redirected to turn on another device, and my new favourite "Optocouplers" or "Optoisolators" a tiny little component that allows you so input a low voltage or signal that you can activate a higher output device through.... these are so tiny and require very little power to trigger. It so cool the way they work internally too as between the input and output there is no actual physical wiring, light alone activates the internal switch, hence the term "Opto"
